Race CalendarThe 2008 British Grand Prix was a sell-out on all three days. All eyes were on the British drivers and in particular Lewis Hamilton in his bid to secure his home race victory. With new regulations for 2009, expect to see even more drama as the drivers battle it out on one of their favourite and fastest GP circuits at the 2009 FORMULA ONE SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX.
While the British Grand Prix is Silverstone's flagship event, the circuit's 2009 calendar also offers fans a fantastic line-up of international and domestic championships.

TO THE BEST OF BRITISH AND LE MANS
In 2009 expect to enjoy the return of some high-profile, high-action events including the Supercar Showdown, HiQ British Touring Car Championship, Bennetts British Superbikes and of course the legendary 2009 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX.
The Supercar Showdown featuring the FIA GT championship is set to make its way to Silverstone in May, where some of the world's finest supercars will compete in what promises to be a spectacular weekend of racing and fan events.
In June the legendary 2009 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX, graces Silverstone with what is set to be a dramatic spectacle of racing. As Lewis Hamilton defends his championship status and our racing heroes contend with new regulations for 2009, expect a repeat of the action, emotion and intensity experienced as a spectator of the 2008 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX.
In August Silverstone serves-up the best of British motorsport. Hosting the British F3 / GT Championship on 16-17 August where the F1™ stars of the future demonstrate their abilities in the world's most competitive F3 championship and the supercars return to do battle for British Championship honours.
The HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship returns to the circuit on the Bank Holiday weekend 30-31 August. The door to door, gladiatorial racing that the BTCC produces makes for spectacular family entertainment, and with three touring cars race and a full bill of support races there is plenty to keep the crowds enthralled all day.
September brings the stars and cars from the annual 24 Hours of Le Mans - the world's most famous endurance race - to Silverstone for a 1000kms race as part of the Autosport 1000km of Silverstone (13-14 September), while the Britcar 24 Hour, as seen on Top Gear in 2007, will deliver a full twice around the clock endurance epic on 19-21 September.

Aficionados of two wheel motorsport will want to make sure they are here in September for the Bennetts British Superbike Championship. There is a good chance the title will be decided on Silverstone's challenging International circuit as the best riders in the UK do battle in the what is undoubtedly the world's toughest National Championship.

Silverstone is the perfect venue for a family day-out, offering plenty of activities both on and off-track, to entertain fans of all ages. Entry to all events is free-of-charge for children aged 15 and under (excluding the 2009 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX).
