At the heart of Karting Silverstone is a spectacular 1.4km FIA-CIK circuit, multiple Arrive & Drive configurations, and an iconic two-storey facility complete with a stylish restaurant, roof terrace, customer-focused reception, briefing rooms and workshop. As the Karting Manager, you will have the unique challenge of creating, developing, and implementing all operational standards from the ground up. From building robust procedures to overseeing the opening phase, this role requires a self-starter with extensive experience and the confidence to establish systems and processes independently.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES
Sales and Budget Management:
- With the support of your expert colleagues across the Silverstone business, craft and execute strategic plans to drive revenue, profitability and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and report on financial and performance metrics to ensure ambitious targets are met.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring optimal track utilisation, flawless execution of events and a seamless customer journey.
- Maximise opportunities across food and beverage, corporate events and incremental business streams.
Customer Experience:
- Deliver unforgettable experiences from booking through post-event feedback.
- Cultivate customer loyalty by ensuring every interaction is memorable, professional and premium.
Team Leadership:
- Inspire, recruit and develop a high-performing team driven by passion, innovation and service excellence.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, growth and accountability.
Safety, Sustainability and Compliance:
- Champion the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental sustainability.

Product Innovation and Development:
- Work with the marketing team to stay ahead of industry trends, develop new products and tailor offerings to diverse customer segments.
- Work with the Systems Team to oversee the integration of world class technology to improve customer experience, reduce costs and increase efficiency.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Customer Experience:
- Maintain exceptional service standards, addressing customer concerns swiftly and professionally.
- Develop programmes and packages that cater to casual visitors, corporate clients and semi-professionals alike.
Operational Management:
- Lead the opening phase, establishing all operational standards, workflows and systems to deliver seamless operations.
- Manage scheduling for Arrive & Drive, corporate events, track hires, and testing sessions.
- Ensure all karts, tracks and equipment are maintained to the highest standard.
- Align karting operations with broader venue goals and needs to ensure seamless integration and performance.
Team Leadership:
- Build and nurture a skilled, motivated team equipped to deliver top-tier service and safety.
- Lead training initiatives, ensuring all staff excel in safety protocols, kart handling and customer care.
Safety and Sustainability:
- Conduct regular inspections of the track and equipment.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols, collaborating with regulatory bodies and internal teams to meet all compliance standards. Financial Management:
- Manage budgets, including P&L forecasting, in collaboration with the Catering Manager and other stakeholders. Monitor operational costs and implement strategies to enhance profitability.
Marketing and Revenue Growth:
- Partner with the marketing team to design campaigns and partnerships that attract new audiences.
- Leverage social media and local networks to boost visibility and Silverstone Driving Experiences

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- A proven leader with a track record of success in sales and operations management, preferably within motorsport or leisure industries.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a passion for creating extraordinary experiences.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to manage budgets, forecast revenue and optimise costs.
- Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills, thriving in high-pressure environments.
- Knowledge of industry trends, health and safety regulations and operational best practices.
- Strong understanding of operational frameworks, with experience creating and implementing operating standards from scratch.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, operational best practices and industry trends.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
