2024 F1 car launches: new liveries revealed
08 January 2024F1 car release dates are the first words on everyone's lips in January. It may feel as though the dust has only just settled on F1 in 2023, but teams are already gearing up for the upcoming season. The first port of call, as always, is livery launches and car reveals.

Red Bull
The RB20 shocked fans and rival teams alike when it was revealed to the world. Adopting a 'zero sidepod' concept similar to that which Mercedes ran in 2022 and 2023, Red Bull presented a car which looked radically different to its predecessor or any of its rivals.
Mercedes
With an almost entirely different architecture for the 2024 car, including a new front and rear suspension design, chassis and gearbox, Mercedes has high hopes for the coming season. This season the Brackley-based outfit has opted to include both silver and black in its livery, reminiscent of the late nineties and early 2000s McLarens.

Ferrari
There's only so much variation the scarlet cars have to play with when it comes to livery design, but subtle hints of yellow on its 2024 car have received rave reviews. Ferrari will be hoping that its 2024 challenger will be as good as it looks.
McLaren
McLaren’s modern-day revival of the papaya colour scheme has made it a firm favourite amongst fans and as a result, its surprise F1 car release date and accompanying #WhateverItTakes campaign were well received by fans.

THROWBACK: A British Grand Prix homecoming to remember
Aston Martin
Aston Martin enjoyed its most successful season to date in 2023. Fernando Alonso’s podiums in the first half of the year were enough to secure the team fifth in the constructors’ standings, not to mention his last-lap duel with Sergio Perez at the Brazilian Grand Prix which earned him the FIA Action of the Year award. In 2024, the Silverstone-based team will be targeting its next step up the F1 rankings.
Alpine
The all-French line-up of Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon have been retained by Alpine into 2024, and with a podium apiece to show for their efforts across 22 races last year, the whole team will be hoping for improved results in the season ahead. Like many teams in 2024, Alpine went for a more muted livery.
Williams
Fans of the legendary Williams team have endured years of lacklustre results over the past few seasons, but 2023 proved to be something of a turning point for the Grove-based outfit as it officially returned to the midfield for the first time since 2018. Williams revealed a livery reminiscent of its 2023 car, but with subtle tweaks that improved on an innocuous design.
RB
Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team is set for some of the biggest changes on the grid this season with the installation of a new team boss, an overhaul of its name and branding from AlphaTauri as well as the car borrowing more design cues from the full-fat Red Bull squad. A radically different livery that harks back to the 2017-2019 Torro Rosso colours created a stir upon its reveal.
Kick Sauber
Like AlphaTauri, newly rebranded Alfa Romeo Sauber squad will be known as Stake F1 Team until Audi takes over in 2026. Breaking from its mould of previous years, the team launched its car in the UK for the first time and revealed a striking green and black livery that will certainly stand out from the rest of the grid.
Haas
The only way is up for the American team which finished last in the constructors’ standings for the second time in three seasons. As has been the case in recent years, Haas' livery reveal was fairly understated, with the team opting to reveal renders of its 2024 colours that remain almost entirely unchanged from 2023.
