The Complete MotoGP Line-Up for 2025

With the MotoGP line-up for 2025 finalised in September following the announcement that Jack Miller would be joining Pramac as they shift from Ducati to Yamaha bikes, it’s now time to take a look at how it’s all stacking up ahead of another thrilling season of MotoGP action.

Factory Teams

Ducati

Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez

Ducati have enjoyed plenty of success over the past few years and will be bringing on board six-time champion Marc Marquez to join the factory team in 2025, alongside the incumbent Pecco Bagnaia. These two legends of the sport are sure to be fighting for the top spots next year, with neither wanting to give away anything. Either way, Ducati, who have dominated the sport in 2024, will be looking to carry this over into next year with a duo of extremely talented riders.

Yamaha

Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins

Yamaha’s factory team will be retaining their duo of Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins for another year in 2025.

KTM

Pedro Acosta and Brad Binder

Brad Binder will remain with the KTM factory team in 2025, while the second ride will go to the Spanish rookie sensation Pedro Acosta, whose first year in the top category has seriously impressed. Now moving to the top team with KTM, the two riders will be going head-to-head. Who will the team favour in the new season? The experienced Binder or the up-and-coming Acosta?

Honda

Luca Marini and Joan Mir

Luca Marini will be staying with Honda’s works team for another year in 2025, alongside other existing teammate Joan Mir.

Aprilia

Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi

An all-new line-up for the Aprilia team for next year will see Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi in the hot seats. Jorge Martin, who has seriously impressed this year (and may be picking up his first championship this weekend), will be moving over from Pramac Racing to the factory team. An exciting signing for the squad who are also bringing Marco Bezzecchi on board after failing to retain Maverick Vinales.
With two top Ducati satellite riders joining the outfit, they may be set for success in the new year.

Satellite Teams

VR46

Fabio di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli

Current rider for the team Fabio di Giannantonio will get the only 2025 spec Ducati on offer to a satellite team next year and will continue to race with VR46 for another season. Joining him at the squad will be Franco Morbidelli, who’s moving over from Pramac. While he’ll stay in the Ducati family with this move, it means he’ll need to ride the 2024 bike for another year, losing out to Giannantonio on trying the latest machinery.

Pramac

Miguel Oliveira and Jack Miller

As we’ve already covered, Pramac Racing will be shifting from Ducati to Yamaha for the 2025 season, and with that new machinery comes a new rider pairing. Miguel Oliveira joins on a two-year deal from Trackhouse Aprilia, and Jack Miller from KTM with just one year confirmed for now.

Gresini

Alex Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer

Alex Marquez is sticking with Gresini in 2025, having signed for two more years with the team. Fermin Aldeguer meanwhile will be making the jump up from Moto2 to join the satellite Ducati squad. The young Spanish rider will be looking to continue where he’s left off after an impressive Moto2 campaign in 2024.

Trackhouse

Raul Fernandez and Ai Ogura

Raul Fernandez will stay with the Trackhouse team next year. As for their second seat, the newest team in MotoGP were widely expected to go with Moto2 frontrunner Joe Roberts, so caused a stir when they instead selected Japanese rookie Ai Ogura.

LCR Honda

Johann Zarco and Somkiat Chantra

LCR Honda will be bringing MotoGP’s first Thai rider to the sport next year when Somkiat Chantra joins the team to replace the outgoing Nakagami. The rookie will be joined by veteran Johann Zarco who stays with the team for another year.

Tech3

Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales

Another new line-up for 2025, the KTM satellite team will be moving away from GasGas branding back to being identified as a KTM satellite. With Bastianini unable to retain his seat at Ducati for next year, the rider has signed with the Tech3 team for 2025. Vinales was more of a surprise when he signed with the team for next year, but either way, Tech3 has an established line-up of Grand Prix winners to enter the challenge with.
