MotoGP™: Your 2023 rider line-up

The countdown is on – just a few days remain until the season kicks off in Portimão. After the final test in the Algarve, Ducati continued to set the bar high as Pecco Bagnaia laid down the fastest time of the weekend.
Ahead of round 1 this weekend, let’s rewind and look at the all-important rider line-up for this season:

Quartararo and Morbidelli complete ‘Team Yamaha’ for the second year running, with title hopes once again for 2021 champ Fabio. After gaining in Day 2 of the final test in Portimão, will his campaign come into fruition?

#93 Marc Marquez & #36 Joan Mir

Marc Marquez is back and ready to attack this season alongside new teammate Joan Mir. It is clear there is still some work to be done in the Honda garage, but with Marquez back to full fitness and Mir joining for 2023, it is a positive sign that the only way is up.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing
#43 Jack Miller & #33 Brad Binder

Jack Miller has hopped from Ducati to KTM for 2023 on a two-year deal with the factory team, next to Brad Binder. After a few issues coming to light during the pre-season, there could be some work to be done to fight for the title. 

Aprilia

Aprilia Racing
#41 Aleix Esparagro & #12 Maverick Vinales

There’s early signs that Aprilia have it nailed for 2023, being possibly the biggest threat to Ducati so far. Aleix Espargaro remains with a two-year deal until the end of next year, with Maverick Vinales hoping to pick up his campaign after a challenging 2022 season.

#5 Johann Zarco & #89 Jorge Martin

Continuing the Ducati stronghold, Johann Zarco and Jorge Martin finished in the top eight for Pramac at the Portimão test, with Zarco closely behind Bagnaia in second. These promising signs point to strong season on the horizon for the team.

#10 Luca Marini & #72 Marco Bezzecchi

The VR46 marked team brings a powerful line up with Luca Marini returning for 2023, alongside fellow Italian Marco Bezzecchi on a two-year agreement, after being crowned rookie of the year during his remarkable debut season. 

LCR Honda 
#42 Alex Rins & #30 Takaaki Nakagami

After winning the final race for Suzuki in Valencia last year, Alex Rins joins LCR for 2023, joined by Takaaki Nakagami for his sixth season with the team.

Gresini Racing MotoGP™
#49 Fabio Di Giannantonio & #73 Alex Marquez

Alex Marquez joins Gresini after his departure from LCR Honda to join Fabio Di Giannantonio. Despite Fabio being ruled unfit during the final pre-season test, the team have continued to excel on the Desmosedici machine during the pre-season.

Miguel Oliveria jumps on the Aprilia machine for the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team, moving from KTM with Raul Fernandez completing the line-up for 2023.
