SILVERSTONE DECLARED AS THE THIRD MOST SUSTAINABLE MOTORSPORT CIRCUIT IN THE WORLD IN THE 2024 SUSTAINABLE CIRCUITS INDEX

Silverstone has been declared as the third most sustainable motorsport circuit in the world after Mugello Circuit and the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya took first and second places in the fourth edition of the annual Sustainable Circuits Index.

The Sustainable Circuit Index is run by Enovation Consulting, a leading FIA Environmentally Accredited and B Corp-certified specialist sports and sustainability consultancy and in collaboration with Professor Paolo Taticchi, Professor of Strategy and Sustainability at UCL School of Management. The index evaluates motorsport series and organisations based on their sustainability practices and environmental impact.

The 2024 Sustainable Circuits Index is based on 21 carefully calibrated sustainability performance criteria across seven dimensions of sustainability: certifications, accreditations, awards, environmental performance, social performance, economic impact, and sustainability approach and engagement.

Stuart Pringle, Chief Executive Officer, Silverstone said “This news represents a hugely significant improvement on our 18th position in the index three years ago when we were starting out on our Shift to Zero journey. The progress made in those few years is testament to the commitment the business and our team have shown in embracing new practices and innovative ideas to help us collectively deliver a more sustainable future for our business.”
