How to watch the Las Vegas Grand Prix: when and where F1’s newest event will be broadcast

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is the only venue on the 2023 F1 calendar that the sport will visit for the first time, but it certainly is a good one. Having last raced in the entertainment capital of the world in 1982, the pinnacle of motorsport returns in 2023 to race on the iconic strip. 

Where to watch the Las Vegas Grand Prix? 

Is the Las Vegas Grand Prix on Sky Sports F1? 

The home of Formula 1 in the UK is Sky Sports F1, broadcasting each session throughout the 2023 season live (including the Las Vegas Grand Prix). 

If you are an existing Sky TV customer, you can upgrade your current package to include Sky Sports, which happens to have Sky Sports F1 as part of the deal. The contract lasts 18 months and is available at £24 per month. If you're not already a Sky customer, it is more cost-effective to subscribe to Sky Sports from the outset, rather than adding it later. This is currently on offer for £20 a month for 18 months. By signing up to Sky Sports F1, you will also have access to the Sky Go app, meaning you can watch every race live and on the go. 

How to watch the Las Vegas Grand Prix on Now TV?

Now TV is a suitable alternative for those who don’t want to sign up for a comprehensive Sky contract. For £34.99 per month, Now TV provides access to Sky Sports F1 which can be streamed to your mobile, computer or TV. 

There’s also the option for 24 hours of access if the race day action is all you require. That comes in the form of a one-off payment of £11.98. 

Will the race be shown on Channel 4?

Free-to-air F1 for British fans takes the shape of Channel 4’s coverage. Highlights for all races, aside from the British Grand Prix, are shown covering qualifying and the race. That is also true of the Las Vegas event, with a highlights feature shown on the Sunday after the race.

This is available via the traditional television channel or via the Channel 4 streaming platform.  

When does the race start?

In contrast to F1’s traditional Grand Prix on Sunday approach, the Las Vegas Grand Prix rather fittingly gets underway at 22:00 on the evening of Saturday, 18 November. That means an early start for those in the UK, with the eight-hour time difference resulting in a 06:00 GMT start. Meanwhile qualifying will start at midnight on Friday, 17 November (08:00 in the UK) and run into the early hours of Saturday morning. 

Channel 4 will show highlights of qualifying at 11:40 on Saturday and race highlights from 12:30 on Sunday.
