Even an eternal optimist would have struggled to see the dramatic conclusion of the British Grand Prix coming — despite the lessons learned from Austria.

W Series, the international single-seater motor racing championship for female drivers, today announced its continued partnership with Formula 1 and the eight Grand Prix weekends it will race at in 2022, including the British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone from 1 – 3 July.

The start of the F1 race season is upon us; and this year’s championship looks set to have all the drama, suspense and surprises we could hope for. With seasoned drivers and several rookies on the grid together, things could get interesting.

Ahead of Race 1 in Bahrain this weekend, let’s recap the teams and drivers you’ll be getting familiar with over the 2023 season.

The 30th anniversary of the Jaguar XJR-15 and the extraordinary Jaguar Intercontinental Challenge will be celebrated at Silverstone later this month with a special track tribute on all three days of The Classic (30 July – 1 August). 
 

Saturdays at The Classic are always very special and this year’s  was one of the best in the festival’s history with 12 fiercely-fought retro races, record numbers of classic cars on display… plus a new outright lap record.
