Silverstone Wing hosts one-of-a-kind Motoring Literary and Art Festival
10 November 2023An event orchestrated by Porter Press International, the Motoring Literary and Art Festival is the first of its kind at Silverstone and as the name might suggest, will celebrate all things literary and artistic in the worlds of motoring and motorsport.
The event itself will be hosted in Silverstone’s iconic Wing building and take place over two days (2-3 December). It is dedicated to books, magazines, art and memorabilia, all of which have their own unique automotive twist. Not only that, but there’s also a bumper schedule of guest speakers and panel discussions featuring familiar faces and industry experts from across road and racing.
Among those speaking at the festival are some of the industry’s finest authors, drivers, engineers, collectors, restorers and designers as well as personalities such as Lord Hesketh, ex-F1 driver John Watson, F1 pit lane reporter Lee McKenzie, Williams Heritage Driver Karun Chandhok, legendary car designer Professor Peter Stevens and many more.
There’s also the opportunity for signing sessions along with a huge range of specialist exhibitors. To top it all off, an impressive line-up of historic and contemporary ‘Star Cars’ will be on display at the festival, completing a comprehensive offering that ensures there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
From the oldest surviving E-Type to the distinctive Ferrari Breadvan, and from the formidable BRM P15 V16 race car to Alpines across the eras, there’s room for both coveted classics and modern masterpieces in the festivals superb ‘Star Cars’ section.
The Motoring Literary and Art Festival promises to be an event to remember, with opportunities to hear from like-minded individuals in an environment befitting of the cars, personalities and works of creative genius Silverstone has welcomed with open arms.
