Wraps back on the Friday Menu at The Classic
15 July 2021After wowing crowds in 2019, car customising kings Yiannimize are making a welcome return to The Classic at the end of this month (30 July).
Led by company founder Yianni Charalambous, the Yiannimize crew will be back on the Village Green stage at Silverstone with two entertaining Wrap Attack performances on Friday.
The first choice for A-listers, Yianni has built-up an amazing business customising the supercars of the rich and famous. As well as being the go-to after-market champion for Premier League footballers, those queuing for his bespoke work also now include the likes of Harry Styles, Gordon Ramsay, and Simon Cowell.
Whether it is incredible vinyl wraps or complete interior overhauls, Yiannimize’s latest creations always attract huge online audiences with close to two million YouTube subscribers and 1.3m Instagram followers.
Now all those coming to The Classic on Friday will not only get the opportunity to meet the legendary Yianni but also have the chance to bring items for his team of experts to wrap live on stage. In 2019, the team wrapped audience-sourced items that included phones, bike helmets, bagpipe chanter, headphones, Xbox controller, and drum sticks.
Commenting on being back at The Classic again this year, Yianni said: “Last time I was here, me and my team had so much fun doing wrap attack and seeing what weird and wonderful items they brought us to wrap. Happy to be back again this year doing shows again and seeing the car community out doing what we all love best”.
In between the two not-to-be-missed Wrap Attacks, visitors of all ages will be encouraged to explore the massive event by partaking in an interactive Yiannimize Treasure Hunt – a new innovation for 2021.
As promised, this summer The Classic’s very special 30th birthday party (postponed from 2020) will include all the ‘Greatest Hits’ – both on- and off-track – from past festivals.
As well as the welcome reappearance of Yiannimize, these include the return of Mike Brewer’s ever-popular Car Clinics on the same Village Green stage over the weekend as well as Terry Grant’s stunt driving shows plus Slowly Sideways rally car demonstrations in the rubber-burning Shift & Drift Zone.
The unrivalled roster of retro races staged on the full Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit is crammed with numerous past-masters, too.
All the crowd-pleasing showdowns – featuring packed 50+ car grids of great F1, GT, sportscars, prototypes and touring cars from yesteryear – are on the packed 21-race programme. What’s more they are joined by special 60th anniversary races for two British motoring icons: the Jaguar E-type and Mini Cooper S.
Tickets for The Classic are selling fast and must be purchased in advance of the three-day fun-fuelled festival. The price of adult general admission currently starts at £47 and a three-day weekend ticket is on offer at just £125. Free admission is offered to accompanied children aged 10 and under, while day tickets for those aged between 11 and 15 are priced from just £6.
