Prepare for all kinds of weather

As Silverstone is located on an old airfield, weather can roll in and out in the blink of an eye. Wind, rain, sunshine, you’re likely to experience it all at this track, sometimes in the space of a single afternoon! It’s important to expect the unexpected at the British Grand Prix.

For those not seated in a covered grandstand, it can get wet and windy when the weather isn’t ideal (let’s face it, this is the UK). Be sure to remember a brolly, raincoat/poncho and waterproof footwear. For a sweltering summer’s day on the other hand (it’s been known), don’t be caught without a hat, sunglasses and suncream.

Hydration and Nutrition

There’s a huge variety of food and drink stalls dotted around the circuit, with everything from burritos to pizza and plenty of other street food in between.

Particularly on hot days, it is also key to remain hydrated – water bottles can be refilled at our dedicated water stations around the site.

Tech

For the uninitiated, it may come as a surprise how quickly a phone’s battery depletes over the course of a day out at the circuit. Using ticket apps, taking countless photos and videos and navigating the site on a digital map takes its toll on battery life, so it’s best to have a full charge before leaving for the track. Better yet, a portable battery is an ideal solution for topping up while on the go.
