MotoGP 2025 launch schedule: Key dates for bike livery reveals
13 January 2025Anticipation is building around the 2025 MotoGP season as teams continue to take the covers off their 2025 entries, unveiling new liveries ahead of the opening round at Buriram, Thailand on 2 March.
All 11 teams are set to reveal their bikes throughout January and February, culminating in a season launch event in Bangkok on 9 February.

Trackhouse Aprilia
Launch date: 14 January
The first team to unveil its 2025 MotoGP challenger will be the American outfit Trackhouse. Now in its sophomore season, Trackhouse has an exciting rider line-up at its disposal in reigning Moto2 champion Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez.
Aprilia Racing
Launch date: 16 January
Aprilia will undoubtedly be looking to continue its march towards the front of the MotoGP grid in 2025. The covers were taken off the 2025-spec RS-GP bike on 16 January. With an all-new rider line-up of reigning champion Jorge Martín and Marco Bezzecchi, 2025 could be a big year for the Italian manufacturer.
Gresini Ducati
Launch date: 18 January
Gresini took the covers off its 2025 MotoGP entries at their launch event at Imola. In his third year with the team, Álex Márquez will be paired with Moto2 hotshot Fermín Aldeguer, with both riders aboard 2024 Ducati bikes this season.
Ducati Lenovo Team
Launch date: 20 January
The Madonna di Campiglio ski resort in Italy hosted Ducati’s launch event that took place over several days. One of the most anticipated 2025 launch events saw eight-time champion Marc Márquez don the factory Ducati suit for the first time. The partnership of Marc and Francesco Bagnaia is one fans will be keeping a beady eye on this season.
VR46 Ducati
Launch date: 25 January
Valentino Rossi’s VR46 squad lifted the curtain on its 2025 bikes in Jakarta where its title sponsor Pertamina is based. Newly signed Franco Morbidelli is partnering Fabio Di Giannantonio, with the latter riding a 2025-spec Ducati this season.
KTM
Launch date: 30 January
Despite ongoing financial complications and self-imposed administration, KTM pushed on with its 2025 MotoGP campaign with a team reveal at Sepang late in January. 2024 rookie sensation Pedro Acosta made the jump to the factory outfit for this year and partners Brad Binder.
Tech3 KTM
Launch date: 30 January
In a joint launch event alongside the factory KTM team, Tech3 unveiled a much-changed, GasGasless livery for 2025 along with its entirely new line-up of Enea Bastianini who departed Ducati and Maverick Viñales who joins from Aprilia.
Yamaha Factory Racing
Launch date: 31 January
After a challenging 2024 season, Yamaha and its riders Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins displayed the 2025 M1 in a launch event hosted at Kuala Lumpur’s W Hotel immediately after the official shakedown test at the Sepang circuit.
Pramac Yamaha
Launch date: 31 January
Following a two-decade stint with Ducati, Pramac parted ways with the Italian manufacturer leaving for pastures new at Yamaha. The 2025 Pramac entries also featured at Yamaha’s Kuala Lumpur event, and its all-new rider line-up of Miguel Oliveira and Jack Miller will have access to factory-spec bikes.
Honda
Launch date: 1 February
Honda’s livery has been one of the biggest talking points during the run of 2025 bike launches; the Japanese manufacturer called time on its 30-year partnership with Repsol and subsequently, one of the most recognisable motorcycle liveries of all time will no longer feature on the MotoGP grid. New sponsor Castrol features on the new-look bikes, with the red, white and blue 2024 livery carrying over into this season. Joan Mir, Luca Marini and the team revealed the RC213Vs in Jakarta.
LCR
Launch date: 8 February
One day after the first test of the year in Sepang and one day before the season launch event, LCR will reveal its 2025 MotoGP bikes. As in 2024, the team is likely to run a split livery with Johann Zarco in Castrol colours and rookie Somkiat Chantra on an Idemitsu-clad machine.
2025 MotoGP Season Launch
9 February
Once all 11 teams have revealed their 2025 MotoGP challengers, there will be an official launch event for the championship itself in Bangkok on 9 February. All 22 riders will be in attendance as well as a display featuring the full grid of 2025 bikes and show runs for the new machinery. All this and more will be free to access for fans in Thailand’s capital city, while the event will also be streamed live to viewers all over the world.
